Theres a big cult following with the Olympus Trip 35 and beings that I hadn’t photographed using film for some time now I wanted to get back into the swing of things and thought I would see what all the fuss is about surrounding this little classic 1970s point and shoot. So I purchased one, brought a roll of Ilford HP5 and started shooing.
The majority of my photographs where early mornings on the way to work there was great atmosphere due to the mist that blanketed Derbyshire for a few days in November and I thought that coupled with black and white film would make a great combination.
Once I had shot the roll I sent it away to be processed and scanned. Hopefully soon I will have the means to develop and scan my own negatives from home but until then I’ll be sending them away. After weeks of waiting I finally got the them back and thought I would share a few of the results.
I’m happy that the camera seems to be in working order but I think in the future I will be sticking to an SLR as my go to camera. Having vastly more control over my camera settings while shooting is a must for me.
